Shreya Ghoshal is a Famous Indian playback singer. She has performed several songs in bollywood and regional films.

Personal Profile

Shreya Ghoshal was born in the year 1984 in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan. She belongs to a highly academic family. Her father is an engineer in the nuclear power plant and mother a post graduate in literature.

Shreya Ghoshal's Career in Singing

Her first break came through Sa Re Ga Ma, the music talent hunt show on Zee TV. Being a perpetual contestant and winner of several episodes, she was selected for the 75th Childrens special episode of Sa Re Ga Ma, which she won.
Later on, she also won the childrens mega final show way back in 1996, at the age of twelve. During one of the episodes, Sanjay Leela Bhansali heard her and was very impressed . After a year and a half, Sanjay Bhansali called her. Thats how Devdas happened ,her debut film as a playback singer.
From winning accolades as a child singer to working with some of the top names in the film and music business , the journey was not very hard for Shreya as she has become an young achiever in such a short span. She targeted doing good work and has won many awards (8 awards in a single year including a National Award).
Today Ghoshal is an established industry singer and has recorded in various regional languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Meitei, Marathi, and Bhojpuri.
